in 1946 this airplane won the Thompson Trophy Race.

Not really what we call "a nice plane" but something different.
By the end of 1944, the OKL (High Command of the Luftwaffe) realized that a better high-altitude fighter was needed, and they wanted to take advantage of the new He S 011 jet engine which was being developed.....continue here

At present I will try to write in english a bit more..
Still the comet but i am not very happy with this sketch because i haven't find the good feeling with her sexy lines.
tomorrow i will try with a rough which is more close to the "top-side view".

Au passage..... allez visiter: Xplanes, ce blog qui n'a de minimaliste que la présentation est une mine d'or d'images et d'infos sur tout ce qui vol.
Mis à jour quotidiennement c'est une adresse à connaître et faire circuler tant les blogs "aériens" de cette qualité sont rares.
